Dave Halligan has joined the TH Plastics team as part of our sales support team.
Dave, 36, who has served in the Army as a tank driver, is working in sales and customer services at our Glossop company.
The father of two from Glossop, will be answering queries, updating clients, creating quotes and helping the spare parts team.
Dave said: “I’m really enjoying it at TH Plastics so far. It’s a very welcoming team and the training is specific to the industry. I’m learning lots as I’m progressing through the training schedule.”
After leaving the Army following three tours in the Middle East, Dave also worked in sales with Carphone Warehouse selling telecommunications packages, as a senior carer for a Derbyshire based care company offering crisis intervention for young people, and as landlord of the Last Orders pub in Glossop.
He said: “Sadly, there’s not much stability in your earnings in care work so I wanted to come back into sales and I found James Goddard from TH Plastics on LinkedIn.
“Although my background is not in plastics, I am learning a lot every day and I have a great record of personal development.”
Recently Dave has taken part in a charity abseil to raise money for Cancer research with his former colleagues in Millers Dale Bridge, Derbyshire. The team raised over £1,000 by abseiling down Millers Dale Bridge in Derbyshire – an 80 foot abseil, of which 70 feet is free hanging.
Dave said: “One of the client’s parents was diagnosed with cancer and this was something we could support her with as a team. It was a fantastic experience and helped raise money for a great cause.”
