TH Plastics scoops Ancillary Partnership Award at the PIAs

TH Plastics has scooped a prestigious Ancillary Partnership award at this year’s Plastics Industry Awards – the same award it picked up in 2014.

Racing ahead of the competition in a glittering ceremony held at the London Hilton on October 9th, the award recognised our recent work with Telford based precision moulded plastic component manufacture and packaging firm, Maxell Moulding Services.

Maxell appointed TH Plastics to relocate its Telford factory to nearby premises this spring, and to design, test, install and maintain a bespoke ancillary solution that would facilitate an increase in operational efficiency and a reduction in energy consumption.

TH Plastics installed a brand new, energy efficient cooling system with new water pipework feeds throughout the plant.  The new solution integrated existing equipment with new machinery and pipework.

The introduction of the new solution contributed greatly towards a 40% reduction in energy consumption across the entire site.

Lee Thomas, managing director at TH Plastics said: “To be shortlisted in this category was a triumph in itself and we were absolutely delighted to be named the winners in what was an incredibly tough category.

“Our approach to ancillary technology means we can be more innovative, and we’re constantly responding to our customer’s need for solutions that really make a difference to the operations of their businesses. Our mission is to always stay one-step ahead in an ever-changing marketplace, and we’re incredibly optimistic about new challenges and opportunities in the coming months.”
