Joe gets stuck in to his next big project

TH Plastics has welcomed another face to the growing company.

Joe Callaghan, from Chorlton, joins the ancillary solutions advisor as Engineer Project Manager and will be responsible for overseeing a number of projects from start to finish.

Joe, a Birmingham City university graduate has a mechanical engineering background and joins the team from Tenmat Ltd where he worked as a Project and Process Development Engineer for almost five years.

In his previous role, Joe was responsible for a number of large projects, installations and, supporting engineers in their roles. He was instrumental in oven designs and installations, lathe installations and paper machine maintenance projects.

Joe also oversaw an injection moulding site and extruder installation and was helping to supervise the injection moulding department before he left.

Joe sees TH Plastics as an opportunity to further his career and is looking forward to taking control of larger projects.

He said: “I have enjoyed going over the schematics with the customers and getting involved in the projects. I have learnt a lot about the company already. It has been a busy few weeks.

“I am excited about my new position as I feel it’s something that I can own and make sure projects are carried out successfully and to a high standard for customers.”

Joe said he liked the broad spectrum of elements provided by TH Plastics – from the purchase of world-class machinery to complete installation and maintenance packages for a wide range of companies within the plastics industry.

He said: “The company is very malleable and approachable for the customer.

“The wide variety of projects really peaked my interest and I feel that I can develop both myself and the company as it continues to grow.”

Outside of work, Joe enjoys outdoor activities including walking and cycling. He also has a keen interest in architecture and a passion for classic cars.
